Active Release Technique (ART) is a hands-on soft-tissue treatment system which reduces muscle adhesions and scar tissue that are contributing to muscle weakness and pain. |
Most people seen by Dr. JOSH ADAMS are good candidates for Active Release Treatment therapy. Initially, ART was widely embraced because of its effectiveness in getting professional athletes back onto the playing field quickly. However, the same can be applied to just about anyone in pain seeking to return to their activities or hobbies. |
Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. Dr. JOSH ADAMS evaluates the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. |
These treatment protocols - over 500 specific moves - are unique to ART. They enable Dr. JOSH ADAMS to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART is not a cookie-cutter approach. |
Most patients seen by Dr. JOSH ADAMS respond to ART therapy soon after treatment begins - even following the first visit. The results are sometimes considered incredible because many patients have lived for years without relief. |
The cost of an Active Release Technique treatment will vary depending on geographic region, experience of the chiropractor, and the amount and number of areas being treated. Costs can range widely depending on the issue being treated. In general though, patients in Kentucky can expect to pay from $40 to $70 per treatment. Most health insurance plans cover some level of chiropractic care, but you should check with your individual plan to determine coverage. |
